Domain Traffic...

When backordering an expiring domain name whats the best way of predicting how much traffic its gonna get? On a site like SnapCheck.com, is it best to look at google page rank, overture, alexa etc.?

neither, do a link popularity check.

Its pretty hard to tell, the best way is to check the link pop. Marketleap is very nice. Just make sure you double check the links to prevent backordering a link farmed name or unrelative links.

Check linkpop. Check archive.org.
Check Alexa. Check PR.

If many of them returns positive good result, it should worth to backorder.
