How useful is it to have a paying Domain Tools membership?

Obviously, it depends on how much you expect to use the features that come with paying, but, in general, for those that pay for membership, do you find yourself making use of the tools they provide?

Their customer service was so rude. I contacted them to change my payment method because I thought there could be a problem. They deleted my account and replied back so unkindly.

Interesting discussion from 2008, but I use DT regularly and find it reliable. Perhaps they've improved in 3 years.

So, what I gather from this discussion is that the info thy provide can be (very) useful. But it is questionable (legally, ethically, etc.) how they get their info. Is that an accurate understanding?
