A couple of days age i was looking for some domain names to reg , wohnungeninhamburg dot com is one of them and it was available but i hesitated to take it , then the second day i rechecked and it was taken already ! When i look at the whois data it seems it was taken the exact same day when i first inquired about the domain availability !!

I read somewhere about this , i thought no that's a myth , but apparently not , how they did know ? i don't care about the domain , but next time shouldn't i avoid checking domain names with that particular registrar ?

The domain has previously been registered but it dropped months ago.
Names are often re-registered immediately or soon after they drop. Here the timing is a bit suspect.

Now the domain is registered with a registrar I've never heard about (VAUTRON/antagus.de)

hmmm , i am sure it happened the same day while i was searching for different phrases over and over again , maybe that triggered some sort of alert or something !

what kind of whois you were using? I supposed if you used some web interface offered by the registrar, they could also show recently whoised domains during somebody else's registration process as "would you also be interested in", which could lead to your domain being taken by someone who was registering some other name about Hamburg.

I would use some central http://www.internic.net/whois.html in these cases instead, hopefully they don't share/sell search information to the registrars. On the other hand if they do share it, may be using smallest registrar with few registrations would be the best?

Where was the lookup performed ? You could try with other domains you're not interested in.

That explains everything , i think you nailed it , maybe because i looked it up many times they suggested it to someone else . Your suggested whois is slow and not feasible you have to type the extension as well , with 123reg lookup "the one i used the other day" it is fast and i don't have to type any extension , but apparently i should use something else for my research from now on ....

Where did you check it?
Did you run any checks on the domain using other software? What software?
Did you run whois on it? What whois service?

I agree. If it was recently dropped last week or a couple of days ago, it's possible that more people are researching it. But if the drop happened 3 months ago, it's definitely suspicious that someone would remember it the same day the OP checked it. This is why I suspect that the culprit is 1 of the software he's using to make the checks.

And is the registrant different each time ?
Perhaps you need to clean up your PC for malware.
Personally I find that this domain is not great anyway, so good luck to whomever bought it. I think these people are actually doing you a favor :)

"hdmovie" where did you check it? I checked the registrant, he is totally clean. Change your search, try "godaddy.com/domains/searchbulk.aspx" 1 or 500 domain/s check, it is clean.

I checked it at name.com which where it was registered today as well , i use the bulk search i like it is accurate and fast and good for idns .

Huuu? malware?? You made my day "sdsinc".. There is no any spy, malware, spyware for your domains.. Tip from me"if a domain dropped and passed 5 seconds, it is a bad domain.. (Everybody says to roi, "i paid $8 and sold $800", ask them "how many domains are you have" "how many?", -500 ...oo good boy...

well not necessarily mate , sometimes domainers concentrate on .com and .net drops and ignore .cos or IDNs for example , i've found some good expired domains out there and that's my only option anyway ...

Are you know gambler psychology "surprise"?? (Also thank you very much for your friendship)

A young gamblers first gamble.. Starts with $5k at the pocket..first $50 lost, second lost ,third won $500 now he/she is at the pocket, he thinks he will won again at the max 3 shots, he is very happy and life is wonderful...5 hours after , he lost all money and he says "tomorrow i will won" ...

You are swimming at the warm, shiny sea ,Sun is shining, life is wonderful... at the beach 20 years old girls are naked and singing on the beach.. Life is great? everything is great?? Look under the sea, sharks there!!..

This is domainers world...

BTW:
DomainSniffing.com is available to register. Maybe if you do a search for this at a registrar, whoever is domain sniffing will see it and grab it.

:)
