Please help.
As I (we) invest in domains, it is helpful to understand sales trail-off of inventory and sales trending over time for our investment.
A couple questions...
1. What is your current portfolio size?
2. What was your portfolio size one year ago as of 01-01-2014?
3. What %percentage of your base portfolio sold in the 1st year?
4. What %percentage of your base portfolio sold in the 2nd year?
5. What %percentage of your base portfolio sold in the 3rd year?
Case Study #1 - For a 200 domain portfolio, do you see a stable sales rate of 6% sold in the 1st year, another 6% (of the remaining 188) sold in the 2nd year, and another 6% (of the remaining 176) sold in the 3rd year, etc (somewhat perpetual on the original portfolio of 200 domains)?
or
Case Study #2 - For a 200 domain portfolio, do you see a diminishing sales rate of 6% sold in the 1st year, another 4% (of the remaining 188) sold in the 2nd year, and another 2% (of the remaining 180) sold in the 3rd year, near 0% by the 4th year (somewhat diminishing sales rate on the original portfolio of 200 domains)?
I very much appreciate your insights.
Thank you,
-Jim
