InnVenture.com has been acquired by former Walgreens CEO Greg Wasson for a new venture. The domain was owned by Danny Sullivan prior and held a $5,000 buy now at Sedo, but that listing still remains. This domain fails the radio test for sure and it doesn’t appear they own inventure.com currently.

SeedPlus.com, which is the home for Jungle Ventures early-stage investment arm recently raised $18M. The company acquired the EMD from Frank Schillings Name Administration Inc. on June 4, 2015 for $5,950. SeedPlus is listed on CrunchBase as being founded in May 2016.

Commonwealth Bank Of Australia has done a big domain purchase and acquired CBA.com! This was likely a very solid domain name sale well into the six figure range (if not more) and a great fit for the bank. The company currently uses the domain name CommBank.com.au so a very strong domain upgrade. The company had revenue of $24.58 billion (AUD) in 2016 to note.

Colors Lab did a domain name upgrade and acquired ColorsLab.com. They are currently using the .net. From what I can tell, they got a pretty fair deal as the domain held an offering price of just $1,799...

SeedPlus seems like a funny case and good example of how domain prices are pretty subjective. From a domainer POV that price for that domain even from an end-user would seem pretty high, but when you look at it from that specific company's POV, it was an incredibly good deal for them.
