Domain Registry Database.

Hi, Guys

I want a domain but it keeps saying that it is now available in domain registry database.

It is currently in redemption period, according to Available domains Pro software but there is no such thing in Register.com and Go daddy.

Any inputs.

I think you should backorder it so, in the second it's deleted in the WhoIs database (and, mainly, in DNS roots), your registrar will register it on your behalf.

probably backorder is the best thing to do. Redemption allows the old registerer (bah) to reregister it.

Where are you checking the availability at? You can go to www.internic.net to check the status at the registry. All domains go through the redemption period and pending delete before dropping.

the domain will go into pending delete before it drops. You got a few days to go.

The Registry of that domain extension is authoritative. Whatever state the domain name is, as is.

Never mind the registrar levels. Just pay attention to what the Registry says....

so when the domain is in redemption and the customer doesnt renew it, the reg. has the option to reg it and keep it?

If by reg. you mean the registry, nope. Once the domain goes beyond redemption (30 days after redemption period started), it'll be available within 5-6 days.

Once that happens, no power or authority on earth can the last registrant compel anyone to get it back for him/her/it. :hehe:
