Domain push & lock

i have a domain name registered at enom,
which is locked.

if i want to push it to another enom account,
do i have to unlock the domain first?

I've been transferring domains from one account to the other at Namecheap and it never even occured to me to unlock them... presume Enom itself would be the same... so I guess you don't need to. Maybe someone else can verify.

I would say yes. Unlock it, then 'change account' put in new account information for change & then change it to that account. then lock it up again.

Most of the time I think you need to unlock the domain to push it. Some places don't have locks so they don't need to be unlocked.

godaddy & all sites like it (cheap-domainnames, etc.) require it to be unlocked :/

i just pushed my domain to a different person's enom account
without unlocking it.
the domain has been pushed successfully,
and remained locked with the guy's account.
