Hello,
I dont understand the logic of putting a price on a domain name. People telling other members the value of their domain name. Sure Its understandable to give an opinion on the name itself its either a good name, catchy, memerable or not so memerable.
But so many members in here are giving domain names $XX or $XXX. Which does'nt make sense.
Eg www.joebloggs.com is worth nothing to me and I would not purchase a domain name like it.
Were as if my name was joebloggs it would be worth a hell of a lot more.
Different Strokes for different folks. The only real measure of the value of a domain name is supply and demand on the day of sale.
A colleague of mine asked peoples opinion on a domain name he had recently purchased (Please note I will not mention the domain name nor person) He got a number of replies stating the value of this domain name was worth low to mid $XX . He subsequently sold this domain name for £5,000 within 3 days.
So if you have recently purchased a domain name, dont solely rely on the opinion of others. Do your own research. I've noticed a few domain names on various sites going for over £1,000 and they had over 15 letters (.com) in them. I have also seen a 2 and many 3 letter domain names all .com going for less then $20.
Its a weird and whacky world out there! :D
