question Domain names as Christmas presents

A few years ago I had the idea of trying to sell domain nmes to people to give away as Christmas presents. I didn't ever get round to trying it, although I have sold a couple of names to guys who bought them for their girl friends to use as blogs. So should we be looking for Christmas names at the moment? I looked through my portfolio, and I don't have any - not even a snowman or a reindeer. I've avoided fairies as well.

If I had a hosting company, I would seriously think about giving away some free domain names, so I get more hosting customers.
Personalized domain name, as a gift, actually sounds good, as kids are accepting games as a form of "virtual" presents.
So for a grown man or woman, who is some kind of specialist or professional and does not have a personal presentation online, a "domain name present" sounds good.

However I can not recommend going for hand reg just to resell, though your ideas is basically good.

I've got a deal where I can give away a free year's hosting with a domain name, but I haven't decided how much of an incentive that is.
