Domain name issue (Trademark)

Hallo,

i want to start blog which provides news/ update information related to financial.

Newser. (country level Domain)
trademark of newser name not register but popular website newser.com exist.
my intention is not to compete newser.com, i want to play at regional level.
can i buy this domain for provideing news content within my country?

is someone taken .com that mean you can't buy that name, for providing same service, even if no trademark register ?

hi - you could probably get away with it if you really make an effort to build your brand - but I think you might be able to invest a bit more effort to think of an interesting domain to use for this project.

For one, when I hear 'newser', it doesn't make me think of finance at all. If you are considering a ccTLD (maybe .nl?), you'll probably have many more options available for you.

Maybe try something like:

megageld.nl
groengeld.nl

etc... things like that should still be easy for your future visitors to remember, and would be much more free of any kind of risk. In your case with newser, I think the risk is even more that your visitors would confuse newser.com as YOUR site, rather than visitors of newser.com visiting your site by accident.

i looking for name which easy to remember. so i thought....bcz no good .com name available & i cannot afford $1000 for a domain name which i want

you are right that people confuse with name .com and high chances to .com

@1Risingstar my advice would be to first secure the .com and than the country domain.
