It was a good show overall.

Richard Lau has some very interesting experience in creating businesses based on free services. I naturally wanted to learn more about how he is able to migrate free customers to paid status. Lau implied that his soft sell approach was successful.

The low point was Howard Neu's comment about next year's T.R.A.F.F.I.C. 2005 show --that it will be again be "by invitation only." Last year the show organizer Rick Schwartz excluded a number of members of the domain community from his trade show with a GRUDGE LIST --that banned individuals who had ever had minor disagreements with Schwartz on his private domain board dating back years-- including myself.

That sort of vindictiveness is unfortuneate.
