Domain Forum Safety Tips

I had a few people ask me the same question in the last couple days ("Is there a way to do business a little safer on domain communities?"). Which inspired me to make the following infograph / checklist. I hope that it's as helpful to others as it was for them. Feel free to use the image on your own website's. All I ask is that you don't edit the image and that the sponsor logos remain intact. (Right click, Save image as)

Nice one Eric! That image lays it all out there perfectly! As long as new members take this stuff into consideration they shouldn't have marketplace issues!

I would take issue with complete birthday information, simply because birthday is often used by scammers and identity thieves, who often join forums to troll for info.

Good point, however, many forum platforms have an option of displaying: 1.) whole dob, 2.) month + year, 3.) Year only. So there's a happy medium there for cushion. Even just the year, it shows a little more vested interest. Naturally the D.O.B. is just one of many other factors so I would hope people don't put too much weight on just that variable alone.:)
