negotiable Domain for sale - 2909 Overture WITH extension

Hello all,

I just picked this name up...earlier today actually, I am not sure whether it gets much traffic, as DNS has just gone through and SEDO says its still trying to verify the name.

It is a 2 word .com domain, with a hyphon, when the name is searched on the OVT tool, it shows 2909 searches last month. Similar domains on the same topic area as this show anywhere from 100-5000 ovt with extension.

I am in serious need of some quick cash, and if I get a good offer I will sell today. Even if the domain gets no traffic (and that is a possibility, it also may get a ton of it) you should still be able to sell it to another domainer for serious money just because of that OVT score, which I believe is legit since many very similar names get similar scores.

I was under the impression that the reason domainers value a high OVT+extension score is because it should translate to actual typeins. Can you explain for us why there is value in a domain with a high OVT+extension score yet zero typein traffic, such as is the case with silly-rabit.com? I may just be missing something here.

Hi,

Although the overture scores with hyphens are usually correct (see: fast-autos.net which is a popular site vs. fastautos.net) in this case the domain recieves little or no traffic.

I have put it up on Ebay explaining the domain should be bought as a vanity-type item.
