Domain for life? What does it mean?

midphase.com says "Free Domain Name for Life!" for new customers.

What does that mean?

Does it mean that you still get to keep the domain name even after you stop being their customer?

Does it mean that they pay for the domain name forever and I don't have to pay yearly for the domain name?

Help would be appreciated.

It means that as long as you have a hosting plan with them, the domain will be free.
