If you could further explain what it is that you want...
I use Microsoft Excel in a way similar to what you mention, but I'm not sure I know what it is you're looking for exactly...

ok let me try to explain little better

I download list of 30k of exp. domains from Snap Names or somewhere and I can't go trough it one by one looking for good ones so I would like to do this instead.

Example:
Select all domains max 3 charaters
Select all domains containing word: pool, domain, host etc.
All domains must be under 10 characters long

I hope this explainsit well enough

Cheers

He said in his original post that he was.

Microsoft Excel through their advance filtering will do that for you.
Or,
You could always use something as simple as notepad to search for the terms you want.

I wrote couple of programs in java that parse a given file (could be list of domain names, dictionary words, etc) and can filter names based on words and length.

And then use the generated file as input to DOmain Name Analyzer software, choose your extns...then search.

if you are familiar with java, i can send you them for FREE. PM me if interested
