Domain expired Aug 20th and is in redemption... when can I reg it?

Figure this question gets asked a lot so I put it in the domain newbies section. Domain expired Aug 20th and is in redemption period now... when can I reg it?

Here's the info:

I assume that it entered redemption on Oct. 2.

I don't know about GoDaddy domains exactly since I always renew my domains with them in time, but I know that all companies provide clients with so called grace period i.e. some time to renew a domain expired. However, it is usually no more than 30 days. Afterwards, you will have to pay the special fee to renew a domain.

You can backorder any time you want.
