Hi all,

Does anyone know of a service that sends you a daily email alerting you to domain drops within a certain criteria?

Don't mind paying... would just save the daily search and the possibility of missing out on drops when I do not have the time to do a search.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Hi Dave,
Can you explain more in detail?

If I understand correctly you don't want to get notified about a specific domain. For instance if you were monitoring a specific domain you would enter the full domain like dave.com and then get an email in the future if it expires. But that's not what you want, right?

Instead you want to enter a search criteria and keyword like starts with dave and is com. Example: You want to get notified of all dave***.com type domains. I guess this is what you want. Is that so?

When do you want to get notified?
a. When the domain drops and becomes available.
(You would get a list of freshly dropped domains.)

b. When the domain enters pending delete.
(You would get a list of domains and their dropping dates which will be 5 days later)

c. How about pre-release? Let's say the domain enters godaddy closeouts. It is only $5 more than reg fee. Do you want an email for those as well?

The reason I'm asking these is because I have a monitoring service but it might not be exactly what you are looking for. However I can see if I can add the service you want if you explain it in detail possibly with an example.

Hi Erdinc,

Thanks for the prompt response.

You are right with the latter, I would want domains that contain a specific criteria, so for example any .com domain which contains the keyword 'casino' within any part of the string.

Foremost I would go with option B, giving me 5 days to decide on which dropcatching service to use. Although A and C would be options that I would not ignore if they are available.

Does your service align with the above in any way?

Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,

I don't have that feature at the moment however both snapnames and namejet have it. You can go to the advanced search page and enter your criteria. Then save that search and add email notifications.

On namejet you can do this here:
http://www.namejet.com/Pages/Auctions/BrowseDomains.aspx?searchType=advanced

On snapnames here: (just go to advanced search)
https://www.snapnames.com/store/domainer.action#store;storeName=domainer

I have something similar on my site but currently it doesn't have email notifications. It is called "Search 100". It is useful if you have a list of keywords and want to perform a bulk search for all of them. It has 3 different categories: "starts with", "contains" and "ends with". It let's you save 3 separate lists of 100 keywords and assigns them to a different button. This way you don't enter any search terms when you visit the site for the second time. You just press a button. However currently there is no email notification so you might want to try snapnames and namejet if you have only a few keywords.

I have something else which is the "Search 10.000". It is an exact match keyword monitoring and it does have email notifications. If you can create a list for casino domains you could use that feature. However creating lists requires a lot of work. Here is a video about creating your own lists:

The namejet and snapnames saved search with email notification is fine but they won't work pre-release domains on other sites. For instance an expired moniker domain is auctioned first on snapnames. It doesn't even appear on namejet. So a namejet saved search would miss that domain. Also both namejet and snapnames would miss all godaddy domains since they are auctioned on godaddy.

Considering that godaddy has 33% of all com's that's a lot of domains that you are going to miss. You need to add another saved search on godaddy. They have something like this as well for their own auctions.
