Domain Check API

Hi,
Does anybody know of an API or webservice that i can give a domain to, and it returns true or false for if it can be registered or not?

ofcourse ... there r many websites.... u better go to a registars website and put in the name u want and they will tell u if its available to register

try indialinks.com some of my sites r registered here ... u can check on the main page only.

i want to make my OWN version - or plug one into my own application - thats what API is - application programming interface.
