We recently created a new domain brainstorming tool called NameNinja.com

It mashes up google suggest with domain availability lookup. A video about how it works is here

but a few early glitches ... I got pretty excited when it told me newyorkcity.info was available :D

Yeah, if the name is not in the roots, it show as available. this happens for names that are on hold or have no nameservers. We are trying to get a list of those names to check on a daily basis.
