Hi Guys,
whats your opinion on doing ppc to sell your domains. lets say you own a domain "londonhotels.co.uk" or "newyorkhotels.us". will you try to do ppc on exact match keyword of "London Hotels" or Newyork Hotels. I know the people searching on internet for london hotels are not domain buyers but it might attract some end user who is bidding on these keywords and would like keyword rich domain to increase their quality score.
Your Thoughts please....
Regards,
Adnan

Don't waste your money. If I'm looking for hotels, I don't care about a domain about hotels. If I manage a hotel chain I might have some interest in a .COM hotel domain with traffic but even then that's not an easy sale. I have run PPC campaigns for people searching for domains and related phrases but the campaigns appear to only attract domainers. I just can't believe that many people searching for domains wouldn't find anything in my portfolio of interest or worth more than those $100 offers.

There was a thread over at DNF by someone who (two or three years ago) was supposedly selling premium domains through Adwords. Some other people have tried it (including me) and had no success.

Years ago you may have been able to turn a profit using adwords, but now the cost is through the roof. If no one clicks on your ad, your quality ratio goes down and google keeps raising the price on you.
