The " traffic" from such sweatshop syndicates are of the lowest grade to advertisers, but can be of use to those who need to fix the books where traffic is concerned.
Other than racking up hits, I agree this is a pretty useless form of traffic.

Traffic exchanges can be useful to get signups for newsletters or mailing lists, but I haven't had any success with straight conversions from the surf page. If you can design a nice-looking sales page, sometimes you can get people to sign up for free mailers and then market to them later.
well, these are useless hits, the poeple there are simply letting the counter go on so that they can earn credits for their own sites, not much use for a sales site but maybe a cpm program can be useful if not against their tos
Traffic exchagnes are only useful for generating mailing list signups and sign up for hairrasing flase marketing schemes. To get targeted traffic via cash, buy targeted links.
