Flippa did allow sniping possibly unintentionally...but I am for the moment removing this article(my second)....after just running into the following post:

It seems Flippa listened to my first complaint and that of others. I'm not sure if they have yet implemented the things in the article above but it's a start.
I like the other idea of having the auction only extend by 5 minutes or even 10. An hour is crazy.. Someone could lose simply because they don't have time. But with 5 minutes, it forces you to make a choice or walk. It's win win. It's tormenting to have people waiting an hour to see if they win... and possibly just to have somebody extend it by another hour..
