When ever we start any new website, one of the most crucial and important factor is selecting a domain name.
There are always two ways to buy domains, one is to register a new domain, and the other is to buy a domain from somebody. I wander to know which one would you like?
If you'd like to register a new one, there are many domain suggestion tools are available in the market, such as Domainsbot, Nametumbler and BustAName. Do you like to use these tools?

I use nametumbler, sometimes (like 1 in 100 searches) i find a quite brandable one (of course from my point of view :D ).

I personally use Name Mesh when I join company naming contests but I am not sure if it works for domain names. :)

I don't use suggestion tools often. I prefer to look at droplists, even old ones. Because the keyword combinations tend to be more relevant when they were human-generated.

I have never tried those three domain suggestion tools, might be in the future if I wanted to buy a domain name again but I used this site domainit.com when I registered a domain name before.

@redhead - They are a registrar, not a domain suggestion tool.

Might want to check Panabee, always liked their slick design and approach towards this service (though I am sure its not the most in-depth suggestion tool). ;)

Definitely leandomainsearch is a good one and I have used it sometimes but I prefer to look at dropped domains like someone else said. As a not native English going through lists helps me in understanding better what the right word order is.
A robot is a robot and you must have enough skills to filter out the wrong word combinations and the nonsense.

While for a brandable I think tools can be helpful, for an emd I would choose dropped domains or auctions
Namestall.com is also a very good one that was used to be completely free but not anymore.

I've been playing around with the new one by Verisign: DomainScope.

It's pretty good, and it has more data than most. Example (available at posting): LandolakesLawyers.com
