Does anybody use software for domaining? There are a bunch of softwares available, are they helpful? If yes, then please list them.

For sorting and parsing drop lists, I use Excel '07... It's boring, but that sums up my software usage for domaining.

I use Domain Punch Pro V2. I use it for tracking my domains. It get's most of the data from the Domain Whois Records. I like it a lot. But it does get into trouble with GoDaddy's Whois which appears to have a random Captcha notice, which if you don't use (which you cannot on a port 43 whois lookup), get's you banned from whois lookups at GoDaddy, usually for up to 1 day. But I'd expect most all similar softwares would have the same limitation. It has a ton of features I don't use. You can look the features up at DomainPunch.com

I use Above.com to manage all my Parking Revenues. Now if I could integrate these two i'd be one happy camper.

Domain Research Tool is an absolute must in my book. It can trim lists down, dictionary check, remove numbers, dashes etc. I use it almost all the time and it works smooth and the developer has a nice site that compliments it and it's updated to this day!

I also use DnCleaner.com for cleaning up domain lists and such as well....I also use 123 Finder to remove non dictionary words etc...these are the 2 primary tools I use and they have proven to be a great success for me!

Hope this helps out some :)

Domain Fetcher

I assume you mean any type domain software,so I will mention "Domain Fetcher" its a super finder of free domain names. It has many search features and filters. It searches some database somewhere and finds dropped and expired or new domain names.
Its kinda fun program.
I run linux full time and lost my M$ XP OS so I don't run Domain Fetcher now till I get Wine Crossover running, maybe it will work on that! :td:

Will it not work with just Wine? I'm the same as you. I also use Linux exclusively. Domain Punch works fine just using Wine.

I have a post on floname.com that my favorite strategy on finding available domain names and some rules to follow before you register. It also lists a couple of domaining tools that I've come to rely on.
IMHO, domainzaar.com is the most user friendly and has completely automated my search strategy.

Your link to Domain Finder doesn't work. I'd like the direct url for both "Domain Fetch and "Domain Finder", since they both are not operating on the .com domain.

I fixed the link for domainzaar.com. It comes free when you buy their self-parking script. VERY well worth the investment IMHO.

@Makis.TV - links edited, sorry dude..
