I have relpy.com and Douuble.com (and .org for Douuble)

And, no, relpy doesn't receive a lot of traffic, but Douuble receives about 700 clicks a month, even though I don't update it often.

I have a twin site on Douuble, which makes a kind of sense for this typo.

I don't have many of these typos, though. Google is always trying to correct your spelling, so they aren't as profitable as they once were.

i have buisness.info, which is sorta a typo since some people type it this way:)

It receives average 50+ a month(was up over 200 when i had a link directory installed a while ago)

Haven't done anything with it lately, just sits there ....

cheers

I have owned many dozens of typos and a few that used to really produce were generic poker typos back in 2003 to 2007.

All were hand regs, I would never register wwwl or ends with com to piggyback any existing poker sites but would rather type certain common poker terms over and over and keep track of the typos I would make.

I once made $8K in 3 months back when Paradise Poker ruled the roost and Chris Moneymaker and The Fossil-Man were some of the most popular people on TV and were making it seem like online gambling was not only no longer frowned upon but a darn good time to be had by all. ESPN made suckouts appear easy, they are not.

I had one account setup waiting for a high roller to sign up through one of my typos and after a couple years I caught a big fish and that was the primary source of my profits.

Sadly most of that has ended, people who bought typo domains at 5+ years revenue a few years back are now regretting the lack of direct type-in traffic. Everyone could see it coming.

Search has continued to get better and more intuitive and Steve Jobs contributed in such an amazing way. But it made most typos obsolete.

I still have a few that get 200 to 300 a month but they're not earning much money.

Love,
Marcia

I had a friend who was into domaining back in the mid 90's and they owned about 2500 exclusively poker type-ins (some TM)and earned on average $90K a year for roughly 5 years before it all came crashing down. I feel so sorry for her now.

I brought here, and currently developing 0ak.com to see how typo works.

Also I have got bankeer.com, buildeer.com, roofeer.com, carpenteer.com, all parked at Sedo, but so far bankeer makes few clicks, but not much really.

For the most part it's already dead. My friend has witnessed her revenue drop considerably to about 5% of what it once was. She even had to reduce her portfolio down to the very best 300 typos and some were taken after WIPO threats a few years back.

It shows you you can't rest on laurels, especially when technology is involved.

Siri and technology like it will contribute to an even greater decline in typo traffic. IMO.

Developing domains is the way to go.
No WIPO threats and steady stream of revenue (relatively).... and you feel good about yourself being a webmaster :P

Whilst i do agree that's not what this thread is about

I know, it's more just a general discussion responding to Marcia's friend's experience re: losing money when all her eggs are in the typo earning basket~~

re: typos - I have Albumm.com , JapanAirlin.com

No traffic

I don't think typos are worth much because search engines will never refer users to them.

Unless they have really good contents (which I doubt).

typos are NOT dependant on search engine traffic or referrals.

so, as long as there is a keyboard, then there will be typos

and if speech tech takes over, then it may deminish typos, but open window for "slurred speech, mumbles and other speech impediments" which i'll call "speecho's".

but to the point, i have typos and many still earn rev going back to 2005 > 2007

i won't list any, cuz i don't want nobody regging the typos of my typos

:)

For people who like this type of what's really considered the most popular kind of typo of all time, you can see just how many people typo in that when searching Google each month.

wwwfacebook.com
450,000 Global searches.

In comparison:
facebookcom.com
1,000 Global searches.
wwwlfacebook.com
140

It's obvious which one is king here.
