I was reading my email today and got this from Flippa. I don't own that many but if you do, you might want to check this out.

Do You Own 5,000+ Domains?

Flippa Domains is now piloting new Portfolio Management features! If you own 5,000 or more domains (we'll make exceptions for some slightly smaller portfolios), reply to this email to get in touch with an agent. This invitation extends to both new and existing portfolios.

Can't imagine having that many. Just having 30 is a liability lol.

I'd say the majority of the guys with 1000s, or as you asked: over 5000 domains, are carrying around domains from many years ago which they should have dropped. They spend their time hustling to pay the renewals.. very blindly too.

If we take the "5000", renewals will be at just under $50k. How many of those domains are unlikely to generate a sale? With what's left, what are the amounts of the sales generated? Type of effort? etc.

In general, best is not aim for owning many domains... Rather focus on owning good domains, and build over time with sales. There's nothing fantastic about renewals on 5000 or more domains, if they are not selling, and the owner is only renewing to hold onto some kind of imaginary title.
