He is also a jerk. He made a deal with IBM for DOS, he did not make dos he simply paid someone $50,000 for it and gave it then the use of it to IBM for a lot more then 50 grand. He was later paid to fix bugs in the first Windows operating system. He didn't fix the bugs he just stole all the code and started ms with it. It goes a lot more in depth but I will just end it with this.
