I have 2 dogs : a german shepperd ( allmost 5 years now ) and a teckel ( 3 years ).

We have 2 dogs...

Rhonda - 7 - Pomeranian/Chihuahua - She's a princess and a damn brat who doesn't like to get her feet wet.

Carlos - 6 - Miniature Dachsund - He's a lil' bugar who likes to try to sneek around at night and sleep under anyone's covers.

Together they weigh about 20 lbs.

oh cane corsos I was looking to get one of them ages ago but was hard to get hold of in the UK.

What difficulty did you have?? I know the UK has a rather dim view of (most) guardian type breeds and has gone so far as to ban a few of them.... which I can appreciate in some cases. These breeds aren't meant for everyone!

EDIT: Speaking of bulldogs... I may get an American Bulldog next time, in addition to another Corso.

Well am not sure about the legality of cane corsos in the UK but I have seen them here and really liked them but havent came across one since and never seen them advertised. There a mastiff (Italian, I think) and the UK dont really have problems with mastiffs. My mum has a mastiff which is a giant but is best of friends with my dogs. Bullmastiffs and mastiffs are quite common here.

I am only aware of the pitbull been banned here, but you see loads of them here even though there banned, I dont think its the breeds fault its all down to the owners. Although a long time ago we did have a problem with a rott we had and was so agressive even as a puppy but once he went to "doggy school" he turned into a excellent dog!

You are correct! It has much more to do with the owner of the dog than the dog itself. Unfortunately, some people won't or can't accept that these dogs (guardian types) don't remain as cute lil puppies forever!

Here is a pic of my boston bulldog as a pup (he could hide in my shoe when we first got him) this is him a few months older but still a pup. (now he is about the size of a staffordshire bull terrier) Now hes big he doesnt look as cute, he usualy walks around with slobber from both cheeks and farts at any chance he can, but my bulldog is twice as bad and eats twice as much

Havent got any pics of my english bulldog as he is shy, haha just joking I just havent had time iv got pics of him on print outs but not on digi.

You have a way cute dog! :D I think we call them Boston Terriers over here. They are like BIG dogs in tiny packages... lil Spitfires they are!

You are correct, the Corso falls under the catagory of molosser and/or mastiff group. Like all breeds, they did get their start as some kind of mix but (according to some) they've been bred pure for thousands of years. Here's the official U.S. breed site for the Corso.. ICCF

no boston terrier and boston bulldogs are different, boston bulldogs are the old breed before and less mixed than the boston terrier. Boston terrier is also a bit small I think, but yeh he runs rings around my english bulldog lol

I got a German Wirehaired Pointer and it has been a very good friend for years. Not only is it an excellent dog for hunting, but a social dog as well. It does need a lot of attention, not least with creating physical activities.
