Don't you just HATE scammers? But, you really can't do a thing about it?
Doesn't that make you SO angry?
It does me!

So, i have created a "home" for scammers.

Link removed so i dont get murdered in the night :p

It's a very simple concept, submit the scammers emails, names and details regarding the scam, and other people can search this information, and find the scammers details submitted by you, and protect themselves!
You are helping fellow netizens, and in the future i'm sure you will want to use it to make sure you don't fall victim to the scum who we called Scammers.

So, please, do something amazing and submit information regarding scams to

Thank you
Tom

Just a word of advice: It is highly illegal to store peoples personal details online without their permission. This will get you into serious trouble sooner or later.

That seems to be a fatal flaw :(
Can anyone see anyway to get round this?

But if their scammers, what are they going to do?
Tell?
Then their busted for their fraud!
IF it is a legit claim, it's like the internet BBB,
someone has to alert unsuspecting netusers, as long as it
is verifiable information, they don't have a leg to stand on!
IMHO if your going to rip people off - beware of the consequences!
Someone needs to fight back to help prevent it. And the fact that
it is "illegal" to store someone's data without permission, please...
how to all these net fiends have MY info??? or YOUR info??? Cause
they somehow ILLEGALLY obtained it, as I never gave them my permission
to use it! So how I see it tit for tat. You scam me, I will publicly announce
it! I am not in the wrong! If you do the crime - suck it up and do the
time!!!

Besides, the "NET POLICE" don't seem to be doing anything about it!
Oh wait...there aren't any!!!

It always happens to the good guy though, the scammers will get away jack free and i'll have a 10 month jail sentance.

I thought, i remove the name and email, yer sure it loses 80% of it's substance it's still SOMETHING

Remove the name and email?
maybe the email - but name or user name I think is necessary!
Is this a site you will be monitoring each claim or entry? or is it a free forall?
Because if you are monitoring each entry, and verifying it, then
if someone wants more info based on the bad "username", then they should be requested to join as a member with LEGIT info. and when you see they have a viable claim against the "username" mentioned, then more info can be exchanged. I personally think it's a great idea but it will take a bit to be sure you don't hang yourself. But it can be done discreetly! and legally! Trigger keys could be the "bad username" draws people to the site, they see their possible buyer/scammer "username" under a caution title, then if they want to know more, they sign up. I know that usernames can be changed from each forum but IP info would be in YOUR database, and when it connects, then up goes the new username. There would obviously be connecting data as they figure no one is keeping track! IMHO (I need coffee)

USERNAMES are generic and free for all to search info on, as profiles ARE stored online anyway!

Cant you just change the name slightly like adding an E on the end, and so you can say it isnt their real name

yes, there is admin approval before the entry is added into the public DB

If I was involved in a transaction with "username" then
if I felt the need I would search google, If your db is triggered by my
search, and I'm taken to your site that lets me know that only basic info is available and by signing up to read it, hey...I may be saving $XXXX amount of money, or keeping a secure hold on my domain name. I would be more than happy to sign up to your site to get any info I feel maybe relevant to my upcoming deal/transaction. I know I would be thanking you for saving my butt.

Well, whether you recieve basic of complex info even by signing up, i am still breaking the law holding a DB of personal info, usernames and scam info is fine, and i will modify to do that if needed, but still a little gutted that all of this is illegal.

I don't understand what makes it illegal? I guess that's something I need to
read up on. But most information is available online anyway!

I don't know myself, but i can see storing peoples names and emails in a public database problematic now i come to think about it like that.

Stupid me being to hell bent on getting this done.

I'm sure there is a legal way to do it, I can't believe there
isin't a service online that governs/provides this info anyway.
The phonebook and whois gets to store people's info online in a DB available
to everyone - so make it a "lookup a scammer phonebook"..just enter username....lol (just a thought)

You should add websites under your search categories...for example..if someone wants to know scams happening on ebay.com, all they have to do is search under ebay.com and all the results would show.

My 2 cent.

Great idea though.

Thanks, i will add that shortly.

My priority is getting over the legalities right now.

You would also have to keep in mind your own personal well being as well, you have your domain regged without any privacy shielding.
Anyone that is frustrated by your admirable efforts can pay you a visit.

And you could say "bring it on!" but remember who who knows his enemy holds the advantage and you Tom have absolutely no idea who Your enemy is when he is standing behind you in a crowd.

I could share some ideas with you how you could pursue this in a better and safer way if youยดre interested?

Plus another point from me also.

If the site goes on smoothly. And the scammers database is populated. The site grows, now everybody belives that to find a scammer they just do a search on your website. Right.

So who will prevent other fools from adding my name or your name in that site.

More scammers will add genuine webmasters names in the database and you will be having a lot of work by sorting out which ones are true and which ones are false.

Imagine a nice guys name appearing on the site for some scam that he never commited. His whole online career can be ruined due to this.

Thanks.
