Do any of the parking services let you pick a template and post even a short post daily? That way you could put ads on it, keep it fresh, and at least give it the appearance of being a Web site or a blog, which would make traffic go up and bring in more visitors. And if it were on a parking service - I assume they would place targeted advertising on the site for you as well.

Part of the reason that I ask is, there's a service called Payperpost, which pays you a few dollars (or more, depending) to post about their sponsors on your blog. I'm wondering if there's a way I could combine that with having a name parked at a parking service. I'm a reporter, so I'm a fast writer - I could probably do 10 posts an hour for a few hours a day, which would allow me to keep multiple domains fresh and make some extra money as well.

I know it wouldn't be easy. I guess I'm trying to combine the best of blogging and domain name investing - I'm trying to create Web sites/blogs that actually have some value and don't just send visitors to a list of links, because that way, in theory, I could build up traffic and value for the site and someone might want to buy it.

And I'm trying to pick good, popular domain names, so that people will find the site, and also of course I'll submit it everywhere.

But I'm brand new to this so I don't know if it can be done. My main strength is writing well and quickly - so I'm trying to exploit that.

It might be easiest to just start your own blog websites and use Adsense or other ppc ads, and affiliate links.

parked and trafficz allow you to add your own titles, meta tags and content at the bottom of each page, bodis allows you to add content as well not sure if they are taking new members, private message me if you need a referral link to parked or trafficz, I believe you need at least 10 domains for parked and trafficz I think you need at least 50 but quality of domains will always trump quantity, you could also look at whypark, imodo (coming soon), or the minisite concept in general where you add your own content and ads and have more control over traditional parking or just get a host and do wordpress blogs with adsense ads etc...

Thank you guys for the replies so far! I guess the advantage of starting my own blog would be I don't have to share any of my ad revenue. The advantage of blogging while on a parking service could be - and again, I haven't tried this - that the parking service would drive more ads to the Web site than I could get on my own?

Or, as an alternative - if I get good domain names that draw some traffic - I could just choose a template, write an introduction page, and then leave it - that would make it look a little more personalized but I wouldn't be working on it all the time. Would I then be able to use adsense, or would it still count as a parked site? How exactly do you define a parked site vs. an active Web site, as far as google is concerned?

if you are just trying to add 1 article on each domain and leave it try to get into bodis, parked, or trafficz as they all allow you to add your own content, if you are trying to write articles each week blogging would be better as then the old articles get archived which would lead to stronger back links and search engine presence, for adsense they are looking for unique content or unique articles so a blog with your own handwritten articles should work fine.

good advice.

the only parking website would allow you to add any content on the homepage is bodis.com. but it's a far cry from having a blog
