I'm in the middle of a transaction using dn.com's escrow. The buyer paid and I was about to transfer the domains. But dn.com sent me an email asking for a scan of my passport. I'm in the United States. Has this happened to anyone else? Thoughts, suggestions?

See the post from DN.com in the 'Domain News' forum titled 'A letter from DN.com to You'. I can't post the link

I used DN recently and I had to scan and send my drivers license to prove my identity. I also had to prove I owned the domains. I sent transfer confirmation emails and invoices from registrars.

It's just to verify that domains sold are not stolen.

I sent it, and the transaction went through. Guess I was just one of the first on their list, because it was a somewhat large transaction.
