I hope their LEGAL department knows their internet department is telling people that ... (it's not up the internet department to make that kind of decision)

I can't see the point to this domain - as johname said:

Makes no sense to spend time making a site for something that already exists, and a .net besides. Estibot gave you an inflated price because a lot of people search for (company) direct tv channel information - and probably find it on the official site. $0 - xx, AFTER you get that letter of permission from their legal department. Make sure it gives you permission to sell the name also - personal use and selling for a profit are two different things.
