Digital Art Gallery

Hey everyone, I have a site I'm wanting to develop but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. My idea is to have the Artists create a profile where they can showcase their work and other people can browse, rate, and comment on the work. It has a specific niche but I'm not going to go into too much detail on it. Any thoughts on going about this?

That's pretty much what I'm looking for, I just need a script for it... I actually just found one but it's like $50. Not worth it IMO.
