I have this huge feeling that Weblogs Inc. Network blogs is paying the top diggers to submit their stories to digg..if you go to the frontpage right noe autoblog one of its blogs has 5 stories in the frontpage! and also engadget which is also one of their blogs..that translates to thosands of hits over 1 hour IMHO. there was a story before too on digg about the top bloggers admitting to be paid several times to submit stories for big companies (hint hint nytimes)

is it just me ? :-/

All of their blogs are some of the best on the interwebs. A lot of their stuff deserves to be on the front page.

Yep i agree i never said the blogs sucked i was just thinking of the probabilty of half the stories on the frontpage of DIGG being theirs :)

I'm under the opinion that half of the things that get there, have paid or given away something to the people to have them "digg" the article.

I never have liked digg as a site, I have and will always prefer /.

There is definatly some back-hand dealing going on at digg but i dont think blogs such as engadget are involed, the reason there always on there is more to do with they fact they post about 10 times aday with decent news and reviews

cheers,

Engadget is a big site, and I doubt they're involved with this. As for other questionable moves by other sites, I can't say the same.
