This morning I read an article about a company that just registered a bunch of "Diem" domains. Something about crypto currency. I didnt' see any threads about this Diem, so I thought I would start one.

Lots were gone by the time I registered these actually. If you look at the first post of this thread by @Silentptnr that is what alerted me to diem domain names being registered back in September 2020.

I believe it was a domainnamewire article that shared the insight that domain names were registered and linking it possibly to libra.

BTW "pay" is amazing @Silentptnr well done mate

I've already had 5 offers today between games/crypto and loans but they have all been in the $xxx range so guessing they are all domainer offers. Previous to todays news I had zero offers.

Got myself a bunch of these last night, there wasn't much to cherry pick as all the nice ones were long time gone. Not a fan of going for diem+anycrapword so I went the .net and .org route with strong-ish keywords crypto/coin/coins/wallet(s)/exchange... yeah time will tell

Yeah i understand... just thought about this now...

Is the domain I acquired trademarked? I am still not able to check that by my own... I see other investors purchased domains with "XDM". If that's the case I'll just ask the registrar to cancel it.

Why try rebrand under this name?

Wish they launched new brand... but anythin beats “libra” For the next 18 months? FB will work their hardest to placate U.S. regulators.
