Hey guys.
i Own dev-lance.com

I was wondering if i launched a freelance site then what are the complications that might go thru. I know devlance.net is trademarked i think buy inet interactive but i dont think devlance.com is.

So if i launch a site on dev-lance.com what are the risks.. are there any risks. Keep in mind that there is also devlance.com

The live trademark is on the term 'devlance'. It would be a very large risk to open up a competing service under the same term (or a hyphenated version). Basically, they could 1) Do a UDRP to get the names from you, even after you've started a service, 2) file a trademark lawsuit against you to seek damages and close your site down, or 3) both.

Of course there is a chance they would just ignore your infringement, but personally I would hate to be in a position where all my hard work is subject to be taken away from me at any given time.
