Just throwig out an idea folks............I will definately be developing one of my sites in the next three months - the timeline dependant on two other companies getting their finished product ready and I will probably be leasing another.

But I would also love to develop a third, with a maximum of five people, hopefully from different states, ( to maximise exposure, promotion and marketing) all who could contribute upto a total of $4000, and just s importantly, each bring to the table a unique quality each one may have to offer, such as webdesign skills, marketing skills, videography skills, sales skills etctetc////

Now I know the most difficult issues to overcome are 5 people, but who runs the show, 5 people, 10 lawyers etc etc......but I for one would be happy to prove naysayers wrong....it can be done with 5 people, 20 K and personalities that fit.......choosing the name to start off with will show up the differences immediately and how they can be ironed out and a compromise reached.....

If nothing turns out of it, you have lost nothing, if this project picks up pace and becomes successful, then think how rich all those lawyers become!!!!

Anyway, anyone who would seriously consider

1. a five way partnership
2 and has $4000 to sink into a project (potentially and all above board - Escrow for everything)
3. Has some development time available to help promote the site

2. Can we just invest?
3. Are you contributing capital and the domain? Or just the domain? In other words, how do you propose to split up the economic interests and what are the terms?
4.How much of a time commitment will you require from those that contribute capital?

I have a ton more but I am interested to also learn more too!

Of which one I have already been PMd on.

1 Once a final list of potential candidates have been put together, everyone throws the name they want from the pool of exisyting members names, and what project they would like to use the $20,000 on.

It may well very be, that a new domain, premium or otherwise is xhosen from scratch....(sounds like the easiest option to me)

2. Yes, you can just invest. Silent partner details will be released should this idea ever com to fruition.

The more important point was that five people putting between them 20k on the table for a media rich site has a better chance of a success rate than one person on his own putting 5k down.

And more than that, 5 people who can donate their skills, such as marketing, connections, sales, ideas and time.
Website skills wll not be part of that - for this project outsourcing to a real firm is the way to go...

3. Too much to answer here. Needs to be thrashed out in a conference call, but very fair points and ones that can and will be overcome.

4. As much time as possible. Which is why we will hopefully have more than 5 people want to get involved and the most suited 5 in every department will come out as the players..

Dont forget though, silent partners are ok too.

Let me give an example of what I am talking about.....I own WRECK.TV....and I use this just as the idea, not the chosen project...

All people who can have someone BUY to take an eyesore off their property will feel great..

But as I live in Phoenx and my time is only so much, there are inly so mnay CRAIGSLIST people I can phoe telling them to take a video of their LEGALLY DRIVEABLE wreck and that they could post it on the net for free or for small fee if it sells (whatever the business model)


Now, if four other members gere could do it in there states....this is not only spreading your horizons, but recruiting five times as many videos aswell!!! and dividing the cost of the project by five too

Why dont you get more than 5 people, and make the amount of money invested variable from $100 a share up to whatever. You could get everyone from the forum to throw down, and then make the top 5 or whatever your board of directors.

Then form an S Corp or LLC and divide all the owner shares up proportionally and equally for the site.

Im not quite sure what the rules are but there is a way to do it LEGALLY.

It will be a riot, .tv nation takes control of its own .tv nation and forms its own sepreate .tv corporation !!!

Why dont you start your own .TV parking site, exclusive for .TV???
