Hi everyone, I'm currently looking for a developer to create my next site which will be similar to finviz.com

Please take a look at that website, can you create something like it?

The goal of my site is to create a one stop shop for investors, so to speak. The difference with my site is I want to also cater towards penny stocks. I'm looking to provide real time data for stocks trading on the OTC:BB, Pink Sheets, AMEX, NASDAQ, and NYSE exchanges.

Also, I will be needing Level 2 quotes and stock charts (streaming and delayed) as well as a news section (breaking news). Maybe something like finviz.com has on their homepage or what marketwatch.com has on their home page next to their logo (I would love something like that!) :hehe:

I want to offer real time data for paying users, and delayed data for free users. Just like Finviz.com offers as well as others.

And for the paying users, I would need to provide a way for them to pay. I'm assuming Paypal subscriptions would be easiest. I'm sort of familar with it as I used to have that through my other stock site. But I would need that setup. Finviz.com accepts credit cards only, I'm not sure how I would go about doing something like that.

Now the problem is, I have no knowledge of development or where to even get the API data from or how much it would cost. This is where I need the developer to guide me in not only creating the site, but helping me understand what I need to do on my end.

Can you help? How much would something like this cost to create, and how much time would it take?

One more question, how would I go about updating the site? Like I said, I have no knowledge of web development or even updating (unless it's a simple wordpress site). So what would be my solution if I was to constantly add breaking news or a new stock that goes public or if a ticker symbol changes (just giving examples).

Thank you

the design can be anything, and the thing is that wordpress provides a lot of advantages:

1. high native SEO capability, its known that wordpress sites get indexed much faster than normal sites
2. very big open source community behind it, lots of extra free plugins to extend functionality
3. very good CMS, voted best cms in 2009

Well my main issue right now is figuring out where to get the market data from. As long as I can provide the services, I guess it doesn't really matter if it's wordpress or not. I wouldn't mind a WP site as long as everything I'm looking for is capable of running through WP.
