Hi everyone, I'm currently looking for a developer to create my next site which will be similar to finviz.com
Please take a look at that website, can you create something like it?
The goal of my site is to create a one stop shop for investors, so to speak. The difference with my site is I want to also cater towards penny stocks. I'm looking to provide real time data for stocks trading on the OTC:BB, Pink Sheets, AMEX, NASDAQ, and NYSE exchanges.
Also, I will be needing Level 2 quotes and stock charts (streaming and delayed) as well as a news section (breaking news). Maybe something like finviz.com has on their homepage or what marketwatch.com has on their home page next to their logo (I would love something like that!) :hehe:
I want to offer real time data for paying users, and delayed data for free users. Just like Finviz.com offers as well as others.
And for the paying users, I would need to provide a way for them to pay. I'm assuming Paypal subscriptions would be easiest. I'm sort of familar with it as I used to have that through my other stock site. But I would need that setup. Finviz.com accepts credit cards only, I'm not sure how I would go about doing something like that.
Now the problem is, I have no knowledge of development or where to even get the API data from or how much it would cost. This is where I need the developer to guide me in not only creating the site, but helping me understand what I need to do on my end.
Can you help? How much would something like this cost to create, and how much time would it take?
One more question, how would I go about updating the site? Like I said, I have no knowledge of web development or even updating (unless it's a simple wordpress site). So what would be my solution if I was to constantly add breaking news or a new stock that goes public or if a ticker symbol changes (just giving examples).
Thank you
