Eh, some from google ads.

When I was advertising the site (if you look at the stats you'll see this time last month I was getting a couple thousand visits a day), it got a lot more google ad traffic.

The site is popular once sites know about it. It got popular when I got it listed on collegehumor, and then got popular again when it got listed on i-am-bored,are-you-bored.com, etc. If you just put a little effort out there to get it listed the site pretty much runs itself.

Also, I forgot to make one thing clear ... once the domain name is transferred I hold no responsibility for the site with regards to legal issues. The site is considered an "open forum" (with moderation support of course), but people post some things that are ............ interesting.

Better script as far as? I wrote the dynamic content myself, and the program took me about a day. Template is from open source web design. Sure, I could improve it, but I wanted to keep the site simple. Most visitors just want to read confessions, and some want to allow responses, but some dont.

As far as the TOS problems, yes this is an issue. The admin section I wrote (which is password protected) allows you to deactivate confessions and recursively all responses, or responses individually. I try to go through and delete innapropriate ones as often as I can, haven't done it for the past few days. If the price was high enough, I would be willing to help rewrite the code with the new owner to customize it to their satisfaction. Anyway, I dont mind donating my spare time to helping someone who has purchased a product from me.

Probably should have explained myself better. With this type of site, with the shear volume of topics, would it be better to somehow put these in to categories. I.e. Sister Love. Dad Hate. Willy wanker, etc.

And with sites that can be dodgy with Google Tos, do webmasters run a separate Google account incase they are deleted and therefore loose google to all their sites?

Excuse all the questions as I'm still a newbie at all this.

Yes, I am looking for a zaney site. Have even got the name registered. Just haven't found a site that is partly developed that I can improve on. Last site I was interested in, the script was too limited and to add a coppermine gallery wasn't possible, therefore I would have to start from scratch.

I will visit the thread again tomorrow and discuss further. It is Friday afternoon here in Oz and I have to go to a meeting.
