Designing Websites

I have always wanted to know where to start on website designs. I have done loads of tutorials at sites like Pixel2Life but never have come across anything to thoroughly explain how to create a website layout or even a logo layout. I can code quite well and am now looking to be able to design. Could anyone tell me where I could go about learning this? It would be much appreciated.

Pixel2Life and Good-Tutorials occasionally has a tutorial about make webdesigns which can become complex.

There are also graphic forums where people give tutorials on small parts of websites like header images and content boxes. Basically you have to try and put it together with just a lot of practice.

is it the design aspect of things your looking to do? if you can code then you must have an idea of how websites are layed out etc?

get fluent in photoshop and you can't go wrong

Experiament. That is how people learn; by trying new things. If it doesn't work, just do something else. Its actually pretty simple in concept.
