Hi, we're looking for a designer to work with us on an ongoing basis for a new network of sites. For most of the design work, we'll be using a similar template for all sites. Basically, we'll have a master template created and the graphics/color scheme will change for each site.
The master template should be *similar* to the design used at http://www.fitness-tips.us/. The basic concept would be the same as far as graphics and general layout. The master template does NOT need to have graphics itself - placeholders are fine. The differences between what we want and the design at that site are the following:
1. The line under the masthead graphic that has "home, fitness articles" etc is not needed.
2. Instead of having Adsense ads in the next section with graphics, we will be inserting either a banner ad or 3-4 button ads for promoting affiliate products/services.
3. There should be 3 columns below the graphic divider as follows:
Column 1: Adsense/YPN ads
Column 2: content
Column 3: Links to other pages at the site
4. At the bottom of the page, the graphic that has "home, fitness articles" etc does not need to be there, but we would want a regular links such as contact us, privacy policy etc.
5. Use of css for fonts, colors and link colors.
6. We'd prefer that it be a little wider than the design used at the site above or that the center column be based on a % of screen basis rather than a fixed width setting. (Not sure how this would work with the masthead though - unless it would be a floating one)
We will also want a few bits of code included for a pop-under and Google Analytics.
We also need a content page done for the same master template. The content page will be essentially the same, except for the following:
1. No pop-up code
2. Only two columns - Adsense/ypn in left and article in right.
3. Some code for inserting comments using software we have will need to be included at the bottom of the article column.
3. Cookie crumb trail inserted at top of article column - ie Home -->> Investments -->> Stocks and below that a link to our forum on the topic with words "Discuss "keyword" on Forums.la" where keyword would be replaced for each individual article.
4. A standard box to include an affiliate ad within the article itself.
The individual sites will be designed from this template with the graphics and colors changing for each site, but no actual coding changes are expected.
To clarify: we are not looking at the person putting together the end site... just to create the master template which involves no graphics other than placeholders and then to only do design work for individual sites.
Aside from the above, if we find it is a good working relationship, we do need some more complicated site/graphic design work done such as matching designs for a WordPress blog and VBulletin in addition to other more elaborate sites.

If you're really ambitious about this, want to stand out and have a bit of time, you can do a mock-up for the design using either AllAboutMoney.com (general financial site) or Diet-World.com (general diet information).
