Hi,

Today, I suddenly deleted Facebook, Instagram, Twitter / X, Threads, and Telegram along with WhatsApp. I've lost interest in social networks - I think they're morally outdated, full of AI-generated content and other garbage. The internet and society are on the brink of something new; Web 2.0 is obsolete, and the format of those sites is just uninteresting and useless.
I only kept LinkedIn and YouTube (just as a memory), YT is useless too full of ads and AI content. AI is breaking Web 2.0 and overall leading to its degradation.

I've been online on the internet nonstop since 2000 - it's probably time to take a break.

Deleted everything a while ago. Kept Twitter, as it's the quickest way to get news and whatnot (even though you have to dig through a massive pile of crap).

And kept Telegram and Whatsapp, for both clients and regular communication.

I've started to block channels on YouTube that I suspect use AI. I'm fed up with fake news and political claptrap. I've never had a Facebook account, but for some reason I had to open one. It was a real pain, and I had to enable my computer camera, and look from side to side in front of it. It told me my account was approved, and then two seconds later the close the account for breaching community guidelines, and there was no appeal. I hadn't had time to post of read any threads.

Meta doesn't want to lose users and for a long time wouldn't let me delete my account, citing various reasons like "the device is different," even though it's the exact same one. I admit, I often shared ideas with Mark in DMs before and even messaged Joe Biden in private—guess I'm a really important user , since they wouldn't even let me reset my password. Meta is heading straight to hell, and their products are already morally outdated and useless.
