Dedicated server help

im trying to make a decision now and i slept on it already for a whole week just avoiding my "buy impulses syndrome", is this a great buy?

Its certainly nothing fancy. I've never heard of this company before so you'd be taking a risk with this one. But sometimes risk is good

I would never buy from a company that offers a tos like that. It really doesnt cover much so you could be in for alot of crap down the road. But the non-refundable part, basicly most dedicated server providers do not issue refunds on these due to when you sign up that money prolly is directed to the data center for setup/install of the server. This is way they do not issue a refund, because they wouldnt be able to get the money back from the DC.

i see got so many bad experience before with ded. servers so im kinda careful this time, mostly servers before i bought was when i leave it after, its been for sale again as a new server quite a bad practice for some dedicater servers company, but this is a good point coming from a server retailer as well, rep coming your way.

it's been a week now and i've been exchanging emails with them quite fast in the reply but I noticed most of their replies are either incomplete they dont answer my questions and others are very unrelated.

like im asking for a dedicated server on how many reboots for free per month they're talking about having a shared account which needs no reset for the member quite funny though but what really attracted me is their server price i have never seen those prices before lol so low 59bucks

it seems more negative here than positive so if ever someone can offer me that competitive price is for the same features they offer why not? and also one can handle Philippine clients as well and it's very simple feature like reset mode or button i dunno about cpanel but before i can reset unlimitedly using ensim, i hope to do it on cpanel as well, and of course ssh with su access that's it and about 500 to 1000gb that's the basic requirements of mine.

Those prices are not cheap. Actually they are right around normal.

My suggestion: http://layeredtech.com , http://gnax.com (solidhost is a good one), http://1web.ca (for us Canadians), ThePlanet (ServerMatrix). Those I have had nothing but good experiences with.

If you want a c*appy low server try http://nocster.com or a VPS.

There TOS is VERY short. Any good companies TOS would look like http://www.layeredtech.com/tos.shtml . This means they probley resell and do not do what the dedicated server company asks by (pretty much) copying there TOS.

The website isn't a big deal. If they spell and look like they are kids you are going to get kiddie services. May be good. May suck. (Leaning more towards the suck part). Good companies don't have tons of _'s and -'s in there name.

And about that replies thing. That tends to happen when you deal with companies like GoDaddy,etc. They read the first line and answer. THE reason is mainly they outsource there support to companies from areas such as Russia, China, India. Who's first language is not English and therefore they struggle to reply. They tend to only answer the first few lines.

They are very good, and have reasonable servers.

I use Layered Tech - the best price for performance ratio in my opinion. Just remember their servers are not managed. If you use a control panel or you know your stuff then it should not be a problem.

If you want a cheap option then try ServerPronto.com - they are selling dedicated servers for $29 a month. I have not tried them but $29 is not much to lose.

The host you mentioned does not reolve anymore.

yes because they already were absorbed by mother company now they are called hostmysite.com.
myvaluehost.com is no more, that's why i need to make a decision before feb. 14. thanks.
