I run a adult blog that averages 8k a day in uniques.

My site design is hosted on my webhosting account and my downloads are currently hosted on imagevent.com (vids and images) but really I know I need to get my own proper server and am thinking of getting a dedi.

Thing is, my site design alone takes up 50-60gb a month so add loads of downloads that is quickly adding up with the gallery's and videos I post every 2/3 days would 1000bw be enough? I might be looking to the extreme but each item of mine gets looked at thousands of times so gets a lot of views and downloads and when the downloads add up I thought I might go over it (Altho no download or image gallery is over 3mb), or is that just too extreme thinking and im worrying about nothing and it will be more then enough?

Well what i would suggest is working out some sort of deal with the host provider that makes it quick and easy to upgrade to add more bandwidth if needed. Then you can start with a more conservative amount and if you find yourself approaching it you can upgrade before you go over.

I'd reccommend www.hometownhosting.com or www.realityhosting.ca - both of whom I've done business with and have clients hosted with. They are both extremely personal and well supported.

maybe look at servermatrix.com servers

they give 1200gb bandwith a month for there normal boxes or if you max that out you can get a unmetered 20mbps box (so you can push 20mbps for 30 days solid and no one would say a thing), i think if i remember its aroudn about 6 terrabytes max. i maybe wrong though
