While I am so very proud and happy President Bush has won, Sending a very clear message to not only to Osama, but to France and their ilk et al... I cannot help but to analyze why Bush won.

Teresa Heinz
While we are voting for John Kerry and not the first lady, it stands to reason that the two are linked in our perception of the two.
Americans don't want a double talking first lady. While "she" wouldn't set policy or dictate internation affairs directly, indirectly her opinions and personality would come through loud and clear... as it does and would with any Presidency.
Teresa acted like a truck driver and spoke like a sailor. There was absolutely NO tact or "Lady Like" qualities to her. Americans Don't want a loud mouthed "bitch" talking trash and acting undignified, but more so a true "Lady" representing us and showing the world the better qualities of love and compassion that most Americans have.

Lying and the Lying Liars
Michael Moore fans take note here: People are not stupid!
Move-On.org Take Note Here: We have moved on!

While people can have differing opinions and ideologies (truly, this is what makes America the wonderful, free nation it is), lying, deceiving and outright undignified attitudes and people is NOT what American Politics is about.
While we will be divided on issues, as Osama showed us, when it comes down to the nitty gritty, we remain United! We stand TOGETHER and insist that if your going to be OUR President, you distance yourself from the undignified acts of the above two people/org's.
No one wants a President that is so blinded by bias built on lies that is betrays the basic premise of the American People. Stand with integrity and back it with truth, and you will always win.
Lie and deceive with spin and half truths and you end up like Gore, Kerry and in 4 years (unless there is a change in the DNC) Hilary.

Pride and Integrity
Americans DEMAND these two traits in our leaders.
What pride can a candidate have when he refuses to address his own issues and can only attack his oponent? How can you say one thing, do another and yet still backhandedly support what your opponenent has done/is doing all the while betraying our remaining allies?
How can you, in all honestly... say you want more international participation in any global events, then resort to lying and name calling about our allies?
How can you NOT distance yourself from the disenfranchising acts, deeds and words of the extremists? It only makes you look like you support them. YOU WILL LOSE MORE VOTES THAN YOU GAIN BY DOING THIS!

I hope the DNC learns frm this. I hope they understand that Americans dont want to be divided, but prefer unity and refuse to be dictated to about politics by celebrities that have built a career around lying to people via acting.

WE WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER THAN THAT!

and today, America and Americans are vindicated in knowing that 2nd world countries like France cannot dictate policy here. We will NOT be lectured to by the likes of Osama and Chirac. Nor will we allow our politics be driven by a divisive rhetoric.

We are America and we are and always will be proud.

If I could give you another +rep point I would. :)

Amen!

BTW I am registered a DEM but after Michael Moore, Move-On.org, Kerrys plans for guns, and Kerrys Flip Floping I moved on... Plus the USA always needs a republican in office during times of war.

Bush didnt kill them. Terrorists did. Get it right. Seems odd all the troops I have seen on the news the last week all said they was for Bush. That Bush was doing the right thing for the US and Iraq. Infact one that called in said most were scared to death when they thought Kerry was going to win.

lol, of course they would say that, look what happens if they speak out....

But going public isn't always easy, as soldiers of the Army's Second Brigade, Third Infantry Division found out after "Good Morning America" aired their complaints.

The brigade's soldiers received word this week from the Pentagon that it was extending their stay, with a vague promise to send them home by September if the security situation allows. They've been away from home since September, and this week's announcement was the third time their mission has been extended.

It was bad news for the division's 12,000 homesick soldiers, who were at the forefront of the force that overthrew Saddam Hussein's government and moved into Baghdad in early April.

On Wednesday morning, when the ABC news show reported from Fallujah, where the division is based, the troops gave the reporters an earful. One soldier said he felt like he'd been "kicked in the guts, slapped in the face." Another demanded that Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld quit.

The retaliation from Washington was swift.

"It was the end of the world," said one officer Thursday. "It went all the way up to President Bush and back down again on top of us. At least six of us here will lose our careers."

First lesson for the troops, it seemed: Don't ever talk to the media "on the record" -- that is, with your name attached -- unless you're giving the sort of chin-forward, everything's-great message the Pentagon loves to hear.

Only two days before the ABC show, similarly bitter sentiments -- with no names attached -- were voiced in an anonymous e-mail circulating around the Internet, allegedly from "the soldiers of the Second Brigade, Third ID."

"Our morale is not high or even low," the letter said. "Our morale is nonexistent. We have been told twice that we were going home, and twice we have received a 'stop' movement to stay in Iraq."

The message, whose authenticity could not be confirmed, concluded: "Our men and women deserve to be treated like the heroes they are, not like farm animals. Our men and women deserve to see their loved ones again and deserve to come home."

Nearby, Pfc. Jason Ring stood next to his Humvee. "We liberated Iraq. Now the people here don't want us here, and guess what? We don't want to be here either," he said. "So why are we still here? Why don't they bring us home?"

**Someone Sue Moore**

Wow what an American act that Michael has displayed by putting 100s of photos of soldiers who's lost their lives fighting for HIS freedom on his website. That's about the most tasteless thing he's done yet in his worthless career. Real professional....especially when he exploits their deaths to try and get Americans to turn their backs on Bush. Looks like his plan backfired, all he did was get everyone determined to get their vote out and so it happens. America votes and Bush has received the most votes in history with around 59 million votes.

If you want to let him know how you feel about his anti-American photo on his site then please feel free to do so at [email protected]

Well the soldiers who he has displayed in the photo on his website are American Soldiers who are over in Iraq defending America and our Freedom. Therefore, since Moore is an American, they are defending HIS FREEDOM & RIGHTS. Instead of supporting the troops, he exploits their deaths with an image of President Bush.

Hopefully sooner rather than later the idiot will get what's coming to him and the families of the loss loved ones will start up lawsuits. He's a poor excuse as an American and I'm ashamed that the country has fools like him here.

Yes, and kerry got the second most votes in history, it's just because of the sheer number of voter turnouts. Like stated in many other threads, it's the % that counts, and 49% did not vote for bush, and winning by a meer 2% margin is not the "greatest" nor any close to the greatest in history.

you sad sad liberals. You kids are so pathetic!

It was an election that you lost, now GROW UP!

Now that America has decided you really need to chill the hell out. It is ridiculous that you percist on ranting like spoiled children.

IT IS BECAUSE OF POSTS LIKE YOURS AND ACTIONS THAT JOHN KERRY TOOK (OR DIDNT TAKE ) TO PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT HE LOST!

we do not want our President to act like a pissed off 10 yr old.

For all you foreigners ranting... get over it. it is OUR president, not yours. Just as we do not comment on your political underachievements, do not question our political motives.

Besides, if you really want us to value your choices and opinions, do this: ELECT A PRESIDENT IN YOUR NATION THAT CAN MAKE YOUR NATION EVEN HALF AS GOOD AS OURS!
Britain & Australia aside, very few other nations have been able to do so. Perhaps you should begin to worry more about your own nations than ours?

lol, the United States has been prying into other nations elections for decades!

Historically the CIA has been influencing numerous foreign elections, such as in Chile, Poland, El Salvador, and Indonesia, to promote regimes supporting U.S. economic or geopolitical interests. In fact the CIA in the past has spent one-third of its covert action budget on "election support"

More recently, the U.S. created a newer mechanism for carrying out many of these political activities in other countries -- the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). Created by Congress in 1983, the Endowment is a private, but publicly funded non-profit group to give grants to those organizations that promote "democracy" overseas. It claims to have already supported the "democratic process" in more than forty countries (New York Times, Sept. 13, 1989).

What the NED does in foreign countries, through its recipient organizations the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the International Republican Institute (IRI), would be rightly illegal in the United States.
