DCKL.COM
What are your thoughts? I have no idea what it's an acronym for, or if it even is an acronym.

Well if you have no idea I certainly dont :). Reg fee without development.

You've got to come up with a meaning for it to have any value. There are still hundreds or thousands of four letter .coms out there unregged. :(

Was there a particular reason you registered this name? (hope that doesn't sound as mean as it looks, just curious)

No reason, it came as part of a group of names I bought. I didn't think it was worth much.

See the thread on 4 Letter .COM Domain Debate to get more ideas on what people think about this kind of domain name. At the moment I think that you wouldn't get much for this domain. If I was to register a 4 letter domain name I'd more likely go for something that sounds like a word such as PURB.COM. A quick search for the term shows that you can get "Portland Utility
Review Board", "purine-rich element binding protein B" and it sounds pretty cool. There are some more interesting 4 letter domain names than dckl.com that haven't been registered.

But, I do think that when the 4 letter domain names are sold out, domain names like yours should appreciate in value in the following years at a reasonable rate. If you want to get much money for this and your willing to risk it, wait a couple of years. Otherwise, you have a bit of work ahead of you trying to find anyone who would pay more than registration fee.

I would try to contact the site I mentioned...but first get advice on how to do this to avoid any problems in case they have dckl tm'd which at first glance they dont...and if you figure out how to and do so please let me know because i have wchq.com and recently discovered after getting it that some organization uses those letters howover my chances are slimmer because they are an org using the .org extension so they probably never even wanted the com, not sure.

But with your case these people may want it..but again I dont know how to go about contacting someone, I am somewhat of a newbie so maybe others here could help give advice on that.

Good Luck.
