Looking to outsource site design of a database. Have never tried to tackle a project like this. Can anyone give me any advice on who to use, what is involved, and what kind of costs are involved?

Some database administrator can help you get started.

But the costs can depend on the complexity of the database design and what you are trying to achieve from it.

Are you looking for a database designer or a database designer and database developer? In either case, you can try Craigslist and look for someone local in your area. Freelance for hire sites like Guru, RentaCoder, and Elance might help. I have thirty years experience in the field. I am retired, but if it is a small database project, I can take it on. Hope this helps.
