Howdy Y'all.

Just redesigned by business central site. Using Joomla! as a CMS, created a totally unique template (Well, based on the default, but changed all css etc.)

Ive gone for the dark professional look, dont know if ive pulled it off but ive tried. Spent the best part of 2 days on it now, so how does it look?

Positve rep will be left to those who give meaningful reviews, NP$ Left to those really helpful ones. :tu:

Please give me some negatives as well as postives, i dont want just one sided reviews. At least one negative & one postive please.

Also, take time to proof read my content, i type too fast for my own good and ive probably made some spelling errors around the place...

Clean, professional look, but the design is just too dark for me. I'd work on getting a new color scheme.

Go for a white background and black text. Then, make the graphics match the color of the logo. Might not be what you were going for, though.

Blue is a relaxing colour a safety colour as it where, now i like the layout, but it looks more of a clan or gaming website if you see what i mean, business websites are much more easier on the eyes, it depends what you are going for though, a gripping and exciting web layout or a boring but comfortable and relaxing one?

Reds blacks etx with vivid images etc for gripping and blues and pastels etc for relaxing safety colours.

Yea, I agree with surfertalk. I lighter background will make the text easier to read.

Here are my suggestions:

For the header: Move to the "lastest news" to the right column under or above the main menu. Then extend the header the whole page.

For the Main Menu: For the rollover, change the color so it is more visible.

For the "Polls": This is unnecessary in IMO.

Also, there are no headers on the "About Us" and "Porfolio"

Other than that, it looks pretty good. Good luck with the site Flubber!

nice website: 8/10, the only thing i would change is the bg, i don't know to which color, but i would change it

Morph: I was going for the gripping kind of website, dont like the relaxing ones, not my kinda style I'll note down those colour combos though :tu:

allabout42: Thanks for all the suggestions! Noticed about the headers, i'll fix that up now. I'll try the column moving as well. Seems like a good idea

GFX^^: I tried messing around with the bg but not many other colours work well, but i'll take that into account.

The relaxing ones make me leave a lot quicker than griping ones, depends what audience you are after.

I do want people to take a good look around before they leave, and i find it much easier to design gripping sites than relaxing ones.

Im quite proud of it TBH, my first Joomla! template.
At least now after ive sorted out all the niggles i can start dev'ing my other domains that have been sitting around for a ages.

well, website looks unfinished.. I do not like grey color scheme.. and logo is outstanding from layout , because uses different colors.
