Cut output to keep oil prices high

Just as crude hits a 15 month low OPEC are getting concerned about the price of oil, so they are going to hold an emergency meeting. They want to reduce output to keep prices high. The price has hardly dropped where I live, even though the price of oil per barrel has dropped over 50%

The cartel was to hold a special meeting on November 18 to discuss the global financial crisis and its impact on the oil market. Several OPEC members are calling for a cut to the organization's crude output to shore up prices.

Hugo Chavez must be bitting his nails. Just 4 months ago he was predicting and was praying for $200 a barrel oil. Unfortunately the only way oil went down is because of this recession in the US. Hope the next President keeps this momentum of low prices going by betting heavily in alternative fuels, electric or hybrid cars, etc.

Prices of fuel here in Portugal have only gone down a bit. The oil companies as usuall are cheating us.

I need to start walking to work, it's only a few blocks. It's just that I like my routine, I go to the mail, I drive to a restaurant or home for lunch, etc.

This will never happen, too much money in oil . The big companies will put their foot down. They shut down Tesla.
