Hi Guys,

I know there has plenty of discussion on another thread regarding PPC-sites.com and I wanted to start a positive discussion on experiences with these sites. I have purchased 5 of these sites and am very happy with their outcome. I was simply looking for some diversity to add to my existing portfolio of monetized projects (sedo, 1plus, fabulous, Darkblue, commission monster, Adsense) So I turned to PPC-sites.com (on the advice of artful) for a fresh new way of managing my domains with a little more control than conventional monetizing systems.

I submitted the site seo-abc.com to PPCsites.com for them to work their magic on. PPC-sites.com provided me with the following site:

http://www.seo-abc.com/old

In my opinion this site certainly serves it purpose as an Adsense based revenue site, it is clean, easy to follow and encourages click through. Rendering this domain perfect for its exact advertised purpose.

HOWEVER, being the perfectionist I am :), I wanted to customize this site a little further. So I set to work in Dreamweaver analyzing the site and fiddling with what I wanted to change.

After playing around for a bit, I decided to add / change the following:

* Centred the H1 header on the homepage, and use it as a promotional area, in this case "Special Offer: Free SEO Elite Trial and SEO Course, Click here to visit" which then is a link to an affiliate program for some SEO software through click bank, So now I have revenue potential beyond adsense.

* Deleted the centre top Adsense block. I felt this block affected the look and feel of the site, Dont get me wrong, the intention of these site is to encourage click through but I want this particular domain to be a little more than just a site my visitors spend a few seconds on. So I got rid of this and then the articles were moved up the page making them the first thing you see.

* Added my own content to the featured articles, I wrote these myself and centred them around my globefrog.com business, I also made one of these link to a related affiliate program I have with clickbank. The very top one simply refers to a free SEO ebook I send out which is linked with an affiliate program.

*Added some logos and links to some org's and co's I use

* Deleted the favorites program links (top right)

*Added customized copyright info

*Customized "Contacts" Page (link located top right)

*Wrote my first article of original content (even though it isnt great) here:
http://www.seo-abc.com/About-Search-Engine-Optimization.html

*Started the "links" page (link located bottom of page)

You can view the customized site which is current here www.seo-abc.com

Thats it for now, I hope to update the homepage content when I can and to use this site as an avenue to promote my affiliate products aswell as an adsense site. I will also try and keep articles fresh and original to reap the SEO benefits this brings.

All in all I have got a groovy site for Under $20 and a few hours work.

I am in the process of doing the above for the site www.freealldebt.com as well, I will use both these as a case study to analyze performance

I would like to hear anyones feedback and experience with PPC-sites.com to date and just wanted to share this example of what ive done with one of their sites.

Well done PPC-sites, Im enjoying a change to the restrictions of other revenue strategies, I look forward to reporting on the success of these sites in the future as I measure the revenue.

Cheers,

Hi Aaron,
Iยดm also interested in starting a few Mini-sites with them.

Iยดve been e-mailing PPC-Sites.com the last 2 days (they donยดt have a phone contact which is a bummer) asking them lots of questions, precisely on what you are doing, that is, editing and customizing it to your own taste.

I also donยดt like the Adsense block on the top centre either, I prefer it further down the page so as to move the articles and content up.

Great job Aaron, the site looks much more atractive and Iยดm sure it will be a success!

Keep us informed on how itยดs doing

Regards

Hi,

Well I think it could be a nice concept but if the layouts all stay the same
and there come to many sites like this it does give the feeling of
"yet another parking layout".

I really hope they will install more layouts soon.
The service is pretty good but, I did get pointed on the double content
aspect.

I think this thread:
http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/295770-business-with-ppc-sites.html

provides a lot of information about this company.

kind regards,

Faisj

Nicely done. IMHO you need to give all your pages a similar look.

I would make a couple more things. Place a 468 x 60 image right below your special offer and have 1 120 x 600 skyscraper on the right as a float right div. Not picking at what you have done -- just what my eye sees.

Is there a real value to including the "links" page (link located bottom of page)? Do they actually result in traffic unless it is a 'web 2.0' type site? I do get some referals to one of my sites from www.stumbleupon.com.

Thanks guys,

Hark, We must think alike, I had originally considered the same mods. I probably will add these.

Also, the links page will just serve it purpose for link exchanging for SEO reasons.

Faisj, Point taken on the layouts becoming too common. I guess this is something PPC-sites should address as their client base expands.

Thanks Gil, I think you should at least buy one PPCsite and just have a go at customizing it.

Have a good day everyone.

Me neither.

However, that is the area in the whole page that brings the Highest CTR to your ads! The currently design is not so attractive because there are too many ads, in the vertical sequence, and in small font size.

If you instead use just two horizontal ads in there, keeping everything else, you would get a much better looking page With higher CTR!

Is it possible to place pictures next to or above or beside each adsense ad?
Obviously these pictures would have to be relevant to the ads

Would Google allow this? It would certainly give the ads and the page a happier look.

It would, but is not allowed by Adsense TOS.

Not trying to do anything to this thread here. But this site is scraping content from ezinearticles.com

Which from SEO point of view can be hazardous.

Just a tip for people who have already jumped in or are going to jump on this one.

Thanks.
